I adore films. I've watched countless films over my lifetime. There have been some absolute brilliant movies that I've watched over the years. There have also been some absolute stinkers. I mean in the past I've written about three films that you should avoid watching and I didn't exactly give Sierra Burgess is a Loser a rave review either. One thing I noticed recently was the fact that I've never actually typed about films that I've actually enjoyed here on my blog. So I thought it was about time that changed.

3 superb films you should watch this weekend on Now TV

When it comes to watching movies one of my absolute fave apps is definitely Now TV. I've been a subscriber to the Sky Movies Pass for quite a few months now. Although it's a little on the pricey side at £11.99 it's jam-packed full of the biggest movies including some of the latest blockbusters and there are new premieres all the time. I love the variety of decent films and the fact that I can cancel at any time. That's the beauty of not being tied into a contract I guess. I've watched a fair few films on the app now. Some have been diabolical but others have been absolutely fantastic. So today I thought I'd talk about just 3 superb films you should watch this weekend on Now TV.

Searching

The first of the 3 superb films you should watch this weekend on Now TV is Searching. Searching is a movie about a guy named David Kim who becomes desperate to find his 16-year-old daughter Margot when she goes missing out of the blue. The film follows the investigation and the great lengths that David goes to in search of Margot. However, the film does so in a unique way. The entire film is set on computer screens and smartphones which is a surprisingly good concept. The story of the movie is pretty damn good and kinda has a Gone Girl vibe to it. The film stars John Cho and Debra Messing who both play bloody brilliant parts.

A Quiet Place

The second of the 3 superb films you should watch this weekend on Now TV is A Quiet Place. A Quiet Place is a post-apocalyptic horror that follows the story of a family struggling to survive in a world that's been inhabited by blind creatures with an acute sense of hearing. Basically, the idea is that you shouldn't make any noise if you want to survive. The film is pretty much a survivalist horror, thriller and family drama all rolled into one. It's gripping, suspenseful and honestly at points, totally heartbreaking. The movie stars John Krasinski, Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe who are all excellent. I thoroughly enjoyed the film and I'm really looking forward to the upcoming sequel.

Crazy Rich Asians

The third of the 3 superb films you should watch this weekend on Now TV is Crazy Rich Asians. Crazy Rich Asians is a romantic comedy based on the 2013 novel of the same name written by Kevin Kwan. The film centres around a Chinese-American professor who travels to meet her boyfriend's parents only to discover they are among the richest in Singapore. Crazy Rich Asians features gorgeous people, places and is an excellent step forward for Asian representation in the Western media. The film stars big names like Constance Wu, Henry Golding, Gemma Chan, Lisa Lu, Awkwafina, Ken Jeong and Michelle Yeoh.

So there you have it, 3 films to keep you entertained this weekend. If you're looking for other great places to watch movies I recommend Netflix and Amazon Prime. If you're in the UK I also recommend keeping an eye out on the Horror Channel and Film 4 as they often show some half-decent flicks.
